Information

Maize phytoliths were recovered from milling stones (edge ground cobbles) in the lower levels of Zone C (Piperno and Pearsall 1998). These samples were indirectly dated by AMS dated phytoliths recovered from sediments surrounding the tools (Piperno et al. 2000).
