Micro sample 462


Maize pollen was recovered from a core in the southern part of the site, at a depth of ca. 65 cm below surface (Herrera et al.1992). Associated with dwelling deposits and other signs of residential occupation, maize pollen occurs below this sample to a depth of 1 m, so maize is likely to date even earlier.
