Fifteen maize starch grains were recovered from a boulder milling stone base (Artifact No. 26a) in Zone C, Middle Block (Piperno et al. 2000:894, Table 1). This artifact is very likely associated with radiocarbon sample NZA-10929 since it is stratigraphically above sample UCR-3417. The dated material was an associated sample of phytoliths collected from the surrounding sediments.
