Micro sample 687

Sonia Zarrillo (2012) recovered 16 maize starch grains from a charcoal sample scraped from the charred residues adhering to a ceramic sherd. The sherd was recovered from a midden deposit (X4(17) at the site. A portion of the charred residue was AMS radiocarbon dated, giving a direct date for the maize starch.
