Orendorf (11F1284)


This site is located in the central Illinois River Valley in Fulton County, Illinois (Bender et al. 1975:122). The Middle Mississippian Orendorf site was excavated in 1972 under the supervision of L.A. Conrad (Bender et al. 1975:123). The site was registered as a temple town with a major occupation that predated a neighboring site known as Larson (Bender et al. 1975:123).
