This is a Late Woodland village site assigned to the Uren phase of the Ontario Iroquois tradition. The site is located near the Town of Cayuga, ca. 5 km west of the Grand River, Brant County, Ontario. One radiocarbon date (TO-7033) fits expectations based on the stylistic attributes of the artifacts, and the second radiocarbon date (TO-7034) is somewhat older than expected, although the 2-sigma limit of its calibrated range overlaps the expected age (Berg and Brusey 2000).
